Brooke is based in Clark, New Jersey, where she works at Creative Kinections, LLC. Barbara McKechnie

Barbara is locted in East Brunswick, New Jersey. She is a proud member of the NJ Association for Creativity in Counseling. Her work experience includes: Port Richmond MICA Day Treatment Program - St. Vincents, Staten Island; St. Vincent’s Hospital, Behavioral Health Child and Adolescent Unit, New York; New York Presbyterian Hospital, Payne Whitney, PHP, APAP and Inpatient, New York; New School University, Creative Arts and Healing faculty member; Gracie Square Hospital, Consultant for Therapeutics Activities Department; Exceptional Wellness, Manalapan & Redbank, New Jersey - Private Practice.

Barbara has an MA in Drama Therapy from New York University. Her other training includes: International Trauma Studies Program: MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction): Mindfulness Based Family and Play Therapy: Psychodrama: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); and Sand tray.

Barbara uses creativity in counseling, the action oriented methods of psychodrama, and the projective tecniques (including sandplay, story, role-play, masks and puppets) of drama therapy so clients will be able to explore issues that create obstacles in a safe and affirming environment.
