Located in Manhattan, Kansas, Sally is the Director of Graduate Studies in Theatre and Director of the Drama Thearpy program at Kansas State University. She is the director of Barrier-Free Theatre through Manhattan Parks and Recreation.
Sally has an MFA in Playwriting and Directing and an MSW Clinical Specialization and Alternative Training. She has a Certificate in Gestalt Therapy from The Gestalt Therapy Training Center of Washington, D.C.
Sally was a member of the NADTA Board of Directors from 1995-2001 and President from 2001-2003. She is the Founder and Treasurer of the Drama Therapy Fund. She has bee awarded the following honors: 2018 NADTA Teaching Excellence Award for teaching and mentorship; 2011 AATE Distinguished Book Award for Barrier-Free Theatre; 2007 Distinguished Service Award in Arts and Disabilities, Accessible Arts, Kansas City, Kansas; 2006 Gertrud Schattner Award in recognition of distinguished contribution to the field of drama therapy."
